The Nike Hoop Summit is a basketball all-star game sponsored by Nike, held once a year for the last 12 years between U.S mens high school All-Americans and a world -select international team within the same age category. The U.S holds a 9 to 3 advantage with the 3 international team wins, coming  in 1996 with a 104---96 victory and in 1998, a 104---99 victory, when a skinny Dirk Nowitzki went off for 33 points and caught the eyes of NBA scouts. The most recent win by the international squad ,occurred in April 2009 in Portland Oregon, with a 97---89 win. There has been 87 players, who have played in the game, over the 12 years that have been drafted by the NBA, with 47 U.S and 13 international players, playing NBA ball in 2009. Some of the international players, who have played in the game are, Dirk Nowitzki, Tony Parker, Andre Bargnani, Antonis Fotsis, and Sergio Rodriguez. U.S NBA stars who have participated are, Kevin Garnett, Elton Brand, Kevin Durant, Mike Bibby, Ron Artest, Stephon Marbury, Rashard Lewis, and Mike Dunleavy.
