                            GASOL VIDEO
Pau Gasol grabbed the rebound off a Kobe Bryant jumper and put in the game winning basket with 0.5 seconds left to give the Lakers the game and the series 4-2. Gasol had 9 points and a big 18 rebounds for the game in 38 minutes. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 32 points, on 12-25 FG, 3-4(3PT). The Lakers shot 12-25 from 3 point land, while the Thunder only shot 5-19 from long range. The 2 big men of the Thunder had good games, as Serbian center Nenad Krstic had 11 points and 11 rebounds and former Manresa ACB player, Serge Ibaka went for 10 points and 8 rebounds. Ron Artest did a great job on Kevin Durant, who led the Thunder in scoring with 26 points, but shot 5-23 on FG, again taking too many jumpers on his home court. The Thunder did a great job this year and with a low-post option in the off-season they could be a tough out in next years playoffs. The Lakers will play the Jazz in round two.

2. JAZZ 112 NUGGETS 104-- The Jazz win the game and the series in 6 games, as they were led by power forward Carlos Boozer with 22 points and 20 rebounds and by rookie swing-man Wes Matthews who went for 23 points, on 13-15 FT. The Jazz move on to the 2nd round to face the length of the champion Lakers and Fesenko will have to play good minutes against the size of the Lakers for the Jazz to have a chance. The Nuggets were led by Chauncey Biullups with 30 points and by seldom used Joey Graham, who brought the Nuggets back in the 1st half with 19 points, 21 for the game, on 9-14 FG. The loss of Nene in game 6 hurt the Nuggets as they were beat for many layups inside. Chris Anderson gave Denver nice minutes last night, but a low-post center to help Nene would be good for Denver next season.

3. HAWKS 83 BUCKS 69-- The Hawks went into a loud road arena to beat the Bucks and tie the series at 3-3. Game 7 will be in Atlanta on Sunday. The Hawks were down 3 points at the half, but came out in the 3rd quarter, to outscore the Bucks 29-11 and control the game from there. Jamal Crawford and Mike Bibby came back with good games after subpar game 5 performances. Crawford went for 24 points and Bibby scored 10 points, doing a better job on Brandon Jennings on defense, holding him to 4-15 FG. Carlos Delfino led the Bucks with 20 points. The Bucks will have to get big games from Delfino, Salmons, Ilyasova and Ridnour, just like game 5 for them to pull a game 7 upset.

GINOBILI TOP 10 PLAYS VIDEO                                 BEAUBOIS VIDEO
1. SPURS 97 MAVS 87--
The veteran Spurs squad got off to a hot start in the 1st half and were up 21 points on the Mavs, only to see the Mavs fight back to take the lead in the 3rd quarter on a Dirk Nowitzki 3 point jumper. The lead for the Mavs only lasted 20 seconds, as one of the most clutch players in all of basketball Manu Ginobili, hit a 3 pointer right back at the Mavs to retake the lead. Ginobili was big all night, leading the Spurs with 26 points in 38 minutes of play. Manu was helped by the improved George Hill, who once again had a big game in his home arena, going for 21 points, on 7-12 FG. Tim Duncan did his job down low, going for 17 points and 10 rebounds in 42 minutes. French guard, Tony Parker came off the bench for 10 points and 8 assists. The Spurs will face the Suns in the next round. The Mavs were led by their German star player, Dirk Nowitzki with 33 points, on 13-21 FG and by the nice new addition to the team, Caron Butler with 25 points, on 9-18 FG. The Mavs got a nice lift off the bench by young French guard Rodrigue Beaubois, as he scored 16 points in 20 minutes, on 7-13 FG. I thought the aquisition of Brendan Haywood would be big in the Mavs playoff push. I liked his length to go up against the Lakers, but he and Dampier split minutes at center and neither have a legit post-game to free up Dirk and other 3 point shooters. I again will bring up Lazaros Papadopoulos and Aleks Maric to help the Mavs next year with inside play.  NOWITZKI VIDEO
 DRAGIC VIDEO                 RICHARDSON VIDEO
2. SUNS 99 BLAZERS 90-- The Suns finish off the series 4-2 and will face the Spurs in the next round. The Suns were led by Jason Richardson with 28 points in 32 minutes, on 10-16 FG, 5-8(3PT), he was helped by Amare Stoudemire with 22 points, on 9-15 FG. Slovenian guard Goran Dragic came off the bench for 10 points, on 4-7 FG, 2-2(3PT). The Blazers had a bad game from their starters, as Brandon Roy shot 4-16 on FG, 1-8(3PT), Lamarkus Aldridge shot 5-17 on FG, and point guard Andre Miller only went 2-10 on FG. The Blazers stayed in the game with Martell Webster coming off the bench to shoot 6-10 FG, 3-4(3PT) for 19 points and Spanish guard Rudy Fernandez shot 5-6(3PT), for 16 points in 18 minutes of play. The 16 points in 18 minutes is great for Rudy, but again all his shots are with him standing in the corner for 3 point shots. His athleticism and driving ability is taken away in the Portland system and needs a trade for him to show his overall skills. The 76ers would be a good fit. FERNANDEZ VIDEO

1. BUCKS 91 HAWKS 87--
The Bucks went into Atlanta and stole game 5 of the series to go up 3-2 and head back home with a chance to close out the series, after being down 2-0. Former Lottomatica guard Brandon Jennings led the Bucks with 25 points, as he was hot early in the 1st quarter and Luke Ridnour kept the scoring from the backcourt going in the 3rd quarter and early in the 4th quarter, as he gave the Bucks a lift off the bench with 15 points, on 5-7 FG in 18 minutes of play. John Salmons scored 19 points in the game and was clutch in the 4th quarter helping the Bucks come back from a 10 point margin. He played tough defense the whole 4th quarter on Joe Johnson, then kept the D up on Crawford when Johnson got called for his 6th foul on a charge. Turkish forward Ersan Ilyasova hit the go ahead basket over Horford with a baby hook in the lane for an 84-83 lead. Ersan also made the pass of the game, as he slipped to the basket and saved the ball to Argentinian guard Carlos Delfino, who hit a killer 3 pointer from the corner. Al Horford led the Hawks with 25 points and 11 rebounds, but he will need help from his guards in game 6, as Mike Bibby shot 1-5 on FG and Jamal Crawford only shot 4-18 on FG. The Hawks have to forget about this game and bring their A game into a loud arena on the road to avoid losing 4 straight.            DELFINO VIDEO             SALMONS VIDEO
    CARMELO VIDEO                         JR SMITH VIDEO
2. NUGGETS 116 JAZZ 102-- The Nuggets got a team effort and pushed the series to a game 6 in Utah, as they were led by Carmelo Anthony with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Carmelo got help in Dever from Chauncey Billups with 21 points, Kenyon Martin with 18 points and got a spark off the bench from talented scorer JR Smith, who put up 17 points in 31 minutes, on 4-5(3PT). The Jazz were led by their 2 main men, Deron Williams kept his great play up with 34 points and 10 assists, on 10-20 FG, 5-8(3PT) and Carlos Boozer went for 25 points and 16 rebounds, on 12-20 FG. The Nuggets did a good job on the Jazz role players, as Kyle Korver shot 0-6 FG and CJ Miles and Wes Mathews both went 4-10 on FG. The Nuggets will have to keep the good team play up in a loud road building that they have had little success in for game 6.
