-            MARIO HEZONJA TRADE FOR JAHLIL OKAFOR MAKES SENSE

The Orlando Magic did not pick up the option on Croatian Wing player Mario Hezonja and

the Philadelphia 76ers did not pick up the option on Center Jahlil Okafor, so EJBB thinks it

just makes sense that Hezonja the 5th pick in the 2015 NBA draft and Jahlil Okafor the 3rd

pick in the 2015 NBA draft, should be traded for each other and forget the 2nd round picks

that both clubs want to grab in trades with other teams.   The Magic have Nikola Vucevic

playing well at the starting center spot and use Bismack Biyombo as the defensive shot blocker

off the bench at the center spot, but Nikola (NOT NIK) Vucevic tends to get hurt in his NBA

career thus far, playing only 51 games, 57 games, 65 games and 75 games in past NBA

seasons. Okafor could be that starting center if Vucevic goes down to injury and both Okafor

and Vucevic play well with their backs to the basket posting up, so the Magic would not have

to go away from the way they open up games on the offensive end.

Jalil Okafor makes 4.8 million dollars this year and Mario Hezonja makes 3.7 million dollars

so the money pretty much matches up and the Magic and 76ers should just forget the 2nd round

NBA draft picks they want to add for letting these high lottery picks go in a trade and just think of

the talent they could both add to each roster on the offensive end as they both want to make a

playoff push in an Eastern conference that is not as good as it was last year, so a playoff birth is

there for both clubs if they just add to the players they already have on each roster.     EJBB was

high on Mario Hezonja before the 2015 NBA draft, as he played well with FC Barcelona in Spain, but

the two Orlando Magic coaches Scott Skiles and Frank Vogel were not happy with the Hezonja defense,

thus he has not played much in his time with the Magic, but has showed flashes in games he got

the starting nod.

If Hezonja was traded to the 76ers, he would have Joel Embiid behind him to help if he got beat

off the dribble, as Embiid is a better shot blocking center than Vucevic in Orlando and also Hezonja

played with younger guards that were trying to find their games in Oladipo, Fournier and Payton and

although Payton was a more willing passer than say volume shooter Oladipo, he does not have the talent

that say a Ben Simmons has in getting into the lane and finding the open 3 point shooter in Hezonja or

even a cutting Hezonja for an easy layup, something he RARELY got with Scott Skiles or Frank Vogel

systems of just using Mario Hezonja like a Kyle Korver type of spacing 3 point shooter, standing behind

the 3 point line waiting for a stat hungry player like Victor Oladipo or Terrance Ross to maybe dish the

ball late in the shot clock to Hezonja behind the 3 point stripe.

Skiles and Vogel never used the athlectic part of Hezonja that he showed at FC Barcelona with the

baseline Lob Dunks he used to grab and dunk in the half-court game.   Like EJBB said Elfrid Payton is a

good guy and tries his best at the PG spot, but a player like Ben Simmons would find the Hezonja

Lob Dunks at least two times a games for easy buckets to get the Hezonja confidence going and those

open 3 point looks he would get with playing with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons would bring that

SPECIAL FC Barcelona Mario Hezonja player to the NBA.

Hezonja would also play with fellow Croatian Dario Saric and Saric knows what Hezonja likes to do

on offense.  The Sixers have Robert Covington playing the SF spot, but adding another talented

ABOVE THE RIM wing that can make deep shots to this Sixers roster only makes sense, because EJBB

does not agree with others that Hezonja is an NBA BUST, he is just a young talented 22 year old wing

player that played on the wrong team in the NBA and the 76ers and coach Brett Brown can bring the talent

out of Hezonja.           If the 76ers do not make the trade for Hezonja then the New York Knicks would

be the other spot that EJBB would like to see Hezonja end up, as the Porzingis, Kanter, Ntilikina,

Kuzminskas, Hernangomez Euro type roster would also be a fit that Hezonja could flourish in if he just gets

stuck on the Orlando Magic bench the rest of the season, but Hezonja and Okafor will be unrestricted

free-agent players next season and EJBB thinks neither is an NBA Bust untli you see each player with

another NBA club.
