- KUKOC 37 PTS VS USA- - KUKOC VS USA 1990 - - 31 PTS VS LAKERS
- NAISMITH NEEDS TO CHANGE RULE OF JUST ONE INTERNATIONAL PICK
- KUKOC - MIX - MIX - MIX - MIX - MIX - MIX - MIX - MIX - MIX
The Naismith Hall of Fame adds one international member to the hall of fame every year, but
needs to change the rule so GREAT players like Toni Kukoc can go in and in the past EJBB
wrote about Nikos Galis not being inducted, as Lidiya Alexeeva was inducted in 2012, while
FIBA Eurobasket all time scorer at the time Nikos Galis still was not in.
The same happened to Toni Kukoc in 2020 as Patrick Baumann was the international pick,
with all due respect to Patrick Baumann, who died of a heart attack RIP working for FIBA, Baumann and Alexeeva did not have the international impact on the FIBA game the way that Nick Galis
and Toni Kukoc did as dominant players. If the International voters want to add a second pick
every year then they should but a dominant FIBA male player must be inducted every year.
Great players like Peja Stojackovic, Dejan Bodiroa, Vassilis Spanoulis and Dimitris Diamantidis
will never be inducted into the Naismith hall of fame if just one selection is allowed and coaches
are put in ahead of great male FIBA players.
Toni Kukoc still waiting & getting the 2020 snub is a JOKE he was a Euroleague champion
with Jugoplastika THREE times and three time NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls.
Kukoc was a three time Euroleague Final Four MVP and won NBA sixth man of year award.
Toni Kukoc was on great Yugosavian teams with Vlade Divac, Dino Radja and Drazen Petrovic
and blended his unique point forward talents early on beating team USA in 1990 to win the
FIBA World championship Gold and 1989 and 1991 Eurobasket gold medals, so just blending
in with the Chicago Bulls with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen was not something new for
Kukoc, but if Kukoc went to another NBA team, NBA fans would have seen a combo of Dejan
Bodiroga and Luka Doncic with his ability to shake big defenders off the dribble from the top
of the key and set up teammates with slick look away passes and Kukoc would easily be
a 20 PPG scorer as Manu Ginoblil would have on another NBA team.
It is time to change this SILLY one INVITE rule to GREAT international players that wait year
after year as Nick Galis did and Toni Kukoc does today and numerous players will wait with
the ONE person limit on international picks and if coaches go in first then NBA fans will never
see FIBA and Euroleague greats like Bodiroga, Spanoulis, Dimantidis, Papaloukas and Juan
Carlos Navarro ever get in to the Naismith Hall of fame because international NBA guys
will also be up to be picked.
