                                       IVERSON AT SEMIS--WATCHES SPAIN ROLL

Worldwide known NBA player Allen Iverson , was in attendance at the Eurobasket semifinal games  in Poland on Saturday, to watch Spain beat Greece using their superior depth and versitility against the Greeks. In the second game, Iverson might have witnessed a vintage performance of himself, by young Serbian guard Milos Teodosic , as Serbia beat Slovenia 96-92, in a Eurobasket game that will be talked about for many years to come.     In the 1st game Spain attacked the passing lanes, to get into the open court for easy layups and wide open 3's. Vasillis Spanoulis and the rest of the Greek guards got caught in the air for turnovers that led to a 49-40 Spanish lead at halftime. Spain's depth at the guard spot showed as Navarro, Sergio Lull, even seldom used Carlos Cabezas to go along with high flying Rudy Fernandez, all hit their open look 3's. The emotional overtime game a day earlier against Turkey took it's toll on this B version of the Greek team, as Spanoulis was asked to be the main setup man, to go along with being it's only breakdown of the dribble scorer against a deep Spanish team. With his legs not being rested, and the rest of the Greek squad missing and passing up open 3's to dribble into heavy traffic, it became a long day in the 2nd half as Spain rolled 82-64 into the final gold medal game on Sunday at 3:00.                       In the 2nd game young Serbian point guard Milos Teodosic, (who has played in insane atmospheres for Olympiacos, of the Greek league), kept his incredible play in Eurobasket going, with a 32 point clutch 3 pt. shooting performance, to propel Serbia into Sunday's final against Spain and thus in my mind , has become Europe's best young combo guard. The game went back and forth early, as Serbia used their 2 big centers Nenad Krstic (18 pts.) and Kosta Perovic (18 pts.) to dominate down low in the post. Slovenia was led by the Lorbek brothers , Erazem down low (25 pts.) and Domen from 3 pt. range (22 pts.) to take a 75-70 lead with 2:23 remaining in the 4th quarter on a 3 by Domen Lorbek. But it was young Milos Teodosic, of Serbia who had ice water running through his veins, as he scored Serbia's final 7 pts. in the last 1:20 of regulation to force overtime at 79-79. Teodosic scored 14 pts. in the 4th quarter and his dominance kept going in overtime as he scored 8 pts. , hitting clutch 3's in the 96-92 victory to propel this young, but dangerous Serbian team into Sunday's gold medal game against a Spanish team, they already beat earlier in Eurobasket 2009. Teodosic got physical with Ricky Rubio and the rest of the  players on the Spanish team in the 1st meeting, and Spain has payback on their minds. With all the offensive power Spain has had over recent history, Pau Gasol and Navarro have never won a Eurobasket final, so they know this is probably their best chance, but if the Serbs keep the pace in slow down mode ,their chances against the talented and deep Spanish squad increases. The game should be decided in the early moments, by what pace the Spanish guards bring to the court.
